The Portomega Theme includes pre-built demo content to help you set up your website quickly and efficiently. Importing this demo content allows you to create a fully functioning website in just a few steps, eliminating the need to start from scratch. While this step is optional, it is highly recommended, especially for users who want to use the theme’s default layouts and design elements right away.
- Navigate to the Demo Import Section
After installing and activating the Portomega theme, you can begin the demo content import process by navigating to the demo import section.To access it:
- In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Aheto > Setup
- Begin the Demo Import Process
Once you’ve entered the demo import section, you’ll be greeted by a Let’s Go button. Clicking this button will initiate the demo import process.- Click on the “Let’s Go” button to start setting up your demo content.
- Choose Your Page Builder
The Portomega theme uses Elementor as its page builder. When prompted during the demo import process, ensure you choose Elementor as your preferred page builder. Elementor provides a powerful and intuitive drag-and-drop interface to help you manage and customize your pages with ease.- Select “Elementor” as the page builder from the available options.
- Install Required Plugins
The demo content may rely on specific plugins to function correctly. If these plugins are not already installed on your WordPress site, you’ll be prompted to install them during the import process.- Install any required plugins by following the on-screen prompts. These plugins may include things like Elementor, contact form plugins, or portfolio management plugins.
- Proceed to the Next Step
Once all required plugins are installed and activated, you will be directed to the next step in the import process.- Click on the “Next Step” button to move forward.
- Choose the Demo Content to Import
The Portomega theme allows you to import the entire demo content or specific parts of it. For a complete setup that matches the demo site exactly, you should choose the option to import the Full Demo Content.- Click on “Full-Part” to import the complete demo content, including pages, posts, images, and theme settings.
- Follow On-Screen Instructions
Follow the detailed on-screen instructions as the import process begins. This process may take a few minutes, depending on the size of the demo content and your server speed.- Wait until the demo import is complete. You’ll receive a confirmation message once the process is finished.
Once the demo content has been successfully imported, you can start customizing your site to match your preferences.
